Gordon Hackett Designs Ltd was created in 2003 as a garden design company but we very quickly understood the way forward was to be involved more broadly in the property market and have become a Property Management company offering a number of services including looking after rented properties taking care of the day-to day maintenance, the annual organizing of Gas Safety Certificates and PAT tests, Energy Performance Certificates and visiting the properties on a regular basis. We have expanded and now ‘transform homes and gardens’. We offer staging solutions for attracting sales and rentals as well as garden design.

We get the properties themselves ready for the housing market, either for sale or rental including refurbishment and styling. It is so important to create the right impressions with a property to achieve the expected returns. Properties that are staged are more likely to be sold or rented quicker because it easier to visualise oneself living in the space.

We work with private individuals but also have associations with a number of property investors for whom we transform their investments into profitable assets. We design the properties inside and out for either sale or rental. Although we have mainly worked in the UK we are now beginning to work further afield.

Garden Design is still a major part of the company and plays a big role in our work. The land a property sits on is often the most valuable part of the property and is often the least valued and certainly the most underused. It is also good to get outside, breath fresh air and see things grow so we want to create an ideal outdoor space for our clients. There are other reasons why a designer might be required, for example, extra parking spaces might need creating, but with the environmental issues surrounding large paved areas, a more environmentally friendly idea might be required. With the increase in recycling, the need to create areas for this is increasing constantly. Also, with the need to extend existing property, clever use of outdoor space is often required.

Plants are the part of gardening that people find the most confusing, especially when it comes to choosing the right ones. It is important to get the right plant for the right position, in the right soil. We provide a service that specifically does this. We can provide a design, the plants and can even plant them for you.
